QboxII whis Dreambox Kernel 2.6.18 posible?

Hi,
is posible to code driver for dreambox mipsel kernel 2.6.18?
I have two dreamboxes whis usb and the gui can 4 tuner .

The dreamcommunity is very big and many users search for second tuner , i the box work i can post this an a big forum.

I only joined this forum yesterday, so maybe you already found the solution.

Recently, I successfully built the kernel modules for a TBS5980 (same box as you have, with a CAM slot, if I'm not mistaken) for kernel 2.6.18 on an x86_64 machine. I also made some other DVB kernel modules for the 2.6.18 kernel, for the ARM platform and x86_64. Both sets of modules worked as they should. The entire operation involved backporting the DVBAPI 5.0 to the 2.6.18 kernel, which turned out to be relatively simple.

Hi all,

Yesterday I successfully compiled the kernel modules for a tbs5980 (QBox CI) for kernel 2.6.18 (for ARM architecture, i.e., my TV to be more specific). Will try the QboxII later today. If you're interested, send me a PM and I'll try and upload the code somewhere (It's a full fledged linux kernel tree, typically 70MB or so ..). Haven't got a toolchain for the dreambox at hand, so I can't test that for you.

I'm especially interested in runing QBox 3 on ARM based Linux platform, so my questions are related to the possible drivers I can use.
As I only see binary drivers (x86/amd_64) and no sources in all TBS driver packages available for download is there any chance we can get ARM builds or sources.

You may want to checkout the linux-tbs-drivers_110818.rar package, available from the downloads page. It holds the code to build the drivers for linux, DVB-API version 5.0 and higher. To build for older kernels (DVB-API < 5.0), the kernel tree needs some serious patching.
