Do you need the bttv module? Otherwise disable it

did you disable the bttv module in make menuconfig ? as it seems to be causing a problem with the make process.

Honestly never use the remote, I think the remote is usually handled by lirc if I rem right.

Ignore the led if it's wrong. The led doesn't effect signal quality

Im not really interested in the whole home theatre style tv watching. Im actually more interested in the stream analysis. Windows had a few good applications, TSReader being one of them but there wasnt anything really for Linux. So I wrote my own, updateDVB

To get full functionality out of it you pretty much have to run my custom kernel modules that support additional functionality not supported by the stock linux kernel. I have quite a few stv0900/stv0903 devices supported plus some others like the genpix skywalker-1 (DVB-S, turbo-fec 8psk/qpsk, Digicipher II, DSS) and a few ATSC devices. You can use any DVB/ATSC device but you wont get the extra's like SNR in dB, spectrum scan, IQ plot, additional modulations, etc
