TBS6922 not sending VBox commands

TBS6922 not sending VBox commands

Postby mmoloch » Mon Mar 24, 2014 11:35 pm

I have a TBS6922 card used with DVBDream v2.5a, before had a USALS motor that ran at 100%...

... now changed to an actuator motor with a VBox III and I'm having some trouble setting the DVBDream positioner.

My settings:

I can move the actuator by clicking on the East/West button, I also set up East/West Limits and I can also Store the position of all sats using DVBDream.

The problem is that when I switch from one channel/sat to another channel on a different sat the VBox does not receive the command and the actuator does not move automatically to the selected sat.

The only way to move the actuator for any sat is using the DVBDream Positioner and the Goto button.

I have the latest driver to the TBS6922 ( V1.0.1.5. and also tested with V1.0.1.3.) and I think the problem is in the driver because every week I have to uninstall the driver and reinstall for the DVBDream Positioner, Goto function return to work

How can I make DVBdream send the commands automatically to the VBox?

Best regards

its been a while since I used Dvbdream but it seems to me after you input the positioner # in the box and click store, you then need to click "modify" in the upper right corner and the positioner # will then appear by the satellite, after that if should work.

That's it :D ... DVBDream now sends the commands automatically to the VBox, I spent the last two days testing everything and was just clicking Modify

Thanks starman345

Now just have the problem of every week having to uninstall the TBS driver and reinstall to the DVBDream Positioner get back to work.

What is the best BDA device I can use with the TBS6922 card?

I'm glad that worked for you. I don't have the 6922 so can't say what driver, the latest is usually the best. I believe that card is a pci-e? On most motherboards you can change the mode of the card slot in the bios...not sure that would have anything to do with your install-uninstall-reinstall of the driver but is something you might try. Another person here viewtopic.php?f=25&t=8857 has a similar problem with a 6925 card but he has to uninstall and re-install the card to get things working again. Good luck

Yes my card is pci-e...

I will test the card in my old pc, asus p6t deluxe v2/i7 920, only tested the card with a haswell cpu and gigabyte z87x ud3h board. I use windows 7 x64.

If the problem persists on a different computer means that I have a defective card?
