TBS MatrixTV system update V1.0.0.1

Postby mijanek » Sun Jan 12, 2014 4:36 am

Hi Steven and guys, here my first input to this version.

The update itself took on my Windows 8.1 x64 few minutes without any issue.

Fan Control: Well done, this works feawless! It starts only when xbmc is on idle showing gui and only for 2-5 sec (I got it abou 3-5 times in a hour but never while playinh SD/HD video, here is the temperature kept beneath the threshold)

XBMC: unfortunatelly massive problems whit audio/video synchronisation. While SD Video time to time speeds up to catch the sync, on HD it staysafter few secs permanently behind.

System: It is weard but my external HDD doesn't work on all USB Ports, it spins up and while there is access, from xbmc after few seconds it stops (like there were not enought power anymore) and my USB keyboard dongle stops too. n my PC work this HDD fleawless.

Here the dmrsg output:
sd 2:0:0:0: [sdc] Unhandled error code
sd 2:0:0:0: [sdc] Result: hostbyte=0x07 driverbyte=0x00
sd 2:0:0:0: [sdc] CDB: cdb[0]=0x28: 28 00 02 df bc f0 00 00 80 00
end_request: I/O error, dev sdc, sector 48217328

does maybee is this patch missing inside the kernel?:
https://github.com/wolfgar/utilite/comm ... 0a539f7036

Unfortunatelly I an unable to recompile this as the build beraks on ecore missing some dependences..
CC xim_la-ecore_imf_xim.lo
../../../../../src/modules/immodules/xim/ecore_imf_xim.c:10:22: fatal error: X11/Xlib.h: No such file or directory
compilation terminated.

I'm now back on 1.0.0.0 and it all works like before :-)

Hi,

Just to mention I pointed this missing patch here : http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?ti ... pid1598386
And it is not a question : The patch is not in your source and the black screens are related to IPU underruns
By the way, you should update my xbmc version as I have just been notified of a very annoying issue (memory leak) : https://github.com/wolfgar/xbmc/commit/ ... 9adfe30d74

Is it a usb powered hdd ? maybe try external power. Many usb ports dont have enough juice to power a hdd by itself.

The USB HDD isn't a problem now, thanks. I think It lies on the kable, or at least with the 1.0.0.0 I am able to use the HDD again, but I guess it has nothing with the release, but with my kable.

I confirm such problems with 1.0.0.1.

Also, the XBMC UI is a bit slow on a 1080p screen. In a 720p screen is ok (both versions 1.0.0.0/1.)
