How to configure the TBS 5922 remote to work with XBMC on the MatrixPC
The first thing you need to do is open up /usr/bin/lircd_pre.sh and change the final line so it reads like this - sed -i "s/^DEVICE=.*/DEVICE=\"\/dev\/lirc1\"/g" /etc/lirc/hardware.conf
This is required in the 1.0.0.4 build as there seems to be a problem with the device it trys to call. it is using lirc0 but needs to be lirc1
Once you have done that perform the following steps,
1. Copy tbs5922.tar (attached) to /etc/lirc/ and rename it to lircd.conf (it's not really a tar file but its the first extension I tried that allowed me to upload the file to the forum, .txt must be evil or something)
2. Copy lircmap.xml to /root/.xbmc/userdata/
3. Copy remote.xml to /root/.xbmc/userdata/keymaps/
A few notes,
You can find a copy of lircmap.xml in /usr/share/xbmc/system. if you use this copy then change the remote device= value to the same name that was used in lircd.conf, I.e remote device="tbs5922"
You can find a copy of remote.xml in /usr/share/xbmc/system/keymaps
I'm no expert at linux so there is probably a smarter way to do this
Cheers
