DTS/AC3 SP/DIF Passthrough problem with Matrix 1.0.9

Postby Pano » Wed Aug 13, 2014 3:12 pm

Hi,

I just received my TBS1910 v2.1, and updated it to Matrix 1.0.9.

I have setup XBMC to passthrough SP/DIF optical to my Logitech Z5500 receiver ( DTS/AC3 decoder ).
When i play stereo content like MP3, it is OK. But when i play AC3 or DTS movie, my amplifier tells me i'm receiving stereo content, and i hear garbage in the HP.

My precedent setup was a standard PC with Xbmc Gotham 13.1 with SP/DIF optical passthrough, it worked OK

My setup is a SATA HDD plugged in, and a Motorola usb remote control.

I think two conf files from https://gist.github.com/warped-rudi/11141477 are needed in /usr/share/alsa/cards/ folder.
You can help me buy new work notebook with paypal donation, after 8 years it's time to upgrade.
