How do you connect a quad tuner card to this PC? The slot seem to be far off the edge and looks like some form of a connector is required?

Yes some kind of connector is needed, but as I know there is no possibility to connect dvb pci-e yet

According to my tests PCIe is not working on my two matrix systems.

You can check if anything is found with command lspci in ssh console. Also dmesg | grep -i pci must show you something. Let me know what you get.
