How to update MOI+?

1. Download the latest software (system, kernel or u-boot) from:
http://www.tbsdtv.com/download/

2. Copy the software that you want to update to a USB flash drive (min. 1GB), for example, if you just need to update the kernel, then download only the latest kernel and copy it to the USB flash drive, if you copy all of the three files: system, kernel and u-boot, to the USB flash drive, MOI+ will update all of them and it will take a bit longer.

3. Make sure your MOI+ is powered off, connect the USB flash drive to it, and then power on, the update will start, on the LCD screen it dispalys:

- "Welcome MOI+"
- When updat the u-boot, it shows the u-boot loading progress in percentage (%)
- when update the kernelit shows the kernel loading progress in percentage (%)
- when update the system, it shows the system loading progress in percentage (%) and "Reading, please later..."


4. After the update completes (takes about 5 minutes), the IP address will be displayed on the LCD screen, make sure the network cable is connected.

NOTE:
There is no need to restart MOI+ after the update.
To check the version, you can go to the web user interface by entering the IP address displayed on the LCD screen to the address bar of the browser.

I have a MOI+ with a DVB-S2 Dual Tuner Dual CI Card.

Which kernel do I use to update:
a) TBS MOI+ IPTV streamer - Kernel (DVB-S2 + DVB-T2) v1.0.1; or
b) TBS MOI+ IPTV streamer - Kernel (DVB-S2 + DVB-C) v1.0.1 ??

Both kernels support DVBS/S2, kernel just distinguish DVBC and DVBT/T2.
After update the file system, run the TVheadend, you can install APK in any Android box,it will automatically update channels list immediately .
But MOI+ and Android box need to work in same LAN.

The update does not work for me. I followed the instructions, but after powering on the screen stays on "Welcome MOI+" for 2-3 minutes and then the MOI+ boots without updating.

I suspect the MOI+ cannot read my freshly formatted 2GB USB stick.

Any help would be appreciated

Problem solved!

I formatted my USB stick again in Windows with the following settings:
File system: FAT32
Allocation unit size: 4096 bytes
Quick Format: off

I think the last setting (no quick format) did the trick.

After using the third USB Stick it worked.

Hi,
I've just got my MOI+ with TBS6285 Quad Tuner PCIe Card.
It comes with 1.0.0 version. If I try to upload the system, uboot and kernel, the device get stuck in the "Starting kernel." step.
To update the system I put the 3 bin files into a formatted usb stick and then, plug it into my MOI+.
What could be wrong?

Ok, for anyone with the same problem, the solution seems to be install first the boot fw, then the kernel and finally the system separatly.

I have MOI+ for some time now, and I think I need to flash it, because TVheadend does not work anymore. When I look in the left down corner where the software version is, it says: Version 1.0.2. But on the download page there is just 1.0.1?? Where can I download 1.0.2?
