MOI Pro fan is not running.

Hi all,

i have a few new moi pro and the FAN on chassis circuit is not working. ( FAN run for a while then stopped )

firmware is 1.0.0.9 which is latest.

please advise.

What about the fact that the FAN will work only in case of overheat? It was my understanding, if not I have the same issue but was happy to hear the fan stopping some times after the first boot

oh really ? I thought FAN should be running all the time. the reason I post this issue is I have a few moi pro that stopped/hang every week ( every 5/6 days, i could not connect to MOI Pro anymore and need hard reset ).
So my concern is FAn is not working at all and even it's overheat. may be i let it run for a few days and check.

Hello, I'm back on MOI Pro and indeed the temp is like high but fan is not running.
However I found on this post about MOI+ that FAN should activate at 70°C only, maybe it is the same on MOIPro?

I'm noticing the following and I will request confirmation:

we may can read temperature from here:
cat /sys/devices/virtual/thermal/thermal_zone0/temp

and I believe FAN trigger are defined like this
# cat /sys/class/thermal/thermal_zone0/trip_point_0_type

# cat /sys/class/thermal/thermal_zone0/trip_point_1_type

# cat /sys/class/thermal/thermal_zone0/trip_point_2_type
active
# cat /sys/class/thermal/thermal_zone0/trip_point_2_temp

So I would like to understand that FAN would start at 80 ...

However I've not found yet a way to manually control the FAN...

eventually I would like to reduce the temperature point when the fan is starting. I'm not annoyed with eventual extra DB or consumption but would prefer having some ventilation active to avoid eventual hot points especially in PCI card that are not monitored...

Hi Micheal

Yea ,it is the CPU temperature,when it up to 75 than FAN will power on. You can change it in
/usr/bin/fanmonitor
change the degree to lower .

For the pci card can not detect the temperature yet.
