New Moi Pro - AMD User

Postby dr0g0 » Fri Feb 19, 2016 6:29 am

Hi guys,

Great to find a support forum for the Moi Pro AMD i have purchased. Guys would like a few pointers please as I have searched the internet and not really found much on the Moi Pro AMD. Took delivery of my new Moi Pro AMD from a UK supplier (Thank you Rob) along with a the Octo tuner the TBS6909. Powered on without the tuner and the LCD display states version v1.0.0.1, so then updated using the MOIPro-AMD web update package v1.0.0.2. the update went well, but the LCD version still shows v1.0.0.1 so my first question is simply to ask if the version which the LCD displays is wrong, or does did the web update v1.0.0.2 not go on correctly.

As before I did the update I inserted the TBS6909 card and upon boot up the LCD shows that the MOI PRO-AMD is attempting to load tuner drivers, but after a few minutes the LCD shows 0 tuners yet I have the octo card fitted which in affect has 8 tuners. I then updated using the MOIPto-AMD web update package v1.0.0.2 and tried the same, and still the LCD display shows 0 tuners.

So I then hooked up the HDMI socket of the MOI Pro AMD to my HDMI monitor to see what I had, and all I have showing is CentOS Linux 7 (Core) Kernel 3.10.0-229.el7.x86_64 on an x86_64

localhost login:

So my other questions are ... why isn't my octo card being detetced ?? Is it because it needs a driver ???

What would you guys advise me do to get this little black box of goodness working, I was told to use download and use ubuntu-14.04.3-server-amd64+mac.iso

If so how do I get this onto the moi pro amd, create a usb installing from the .iso ???

My long term end is to re-stream from my octo TBS6909 card, so any pointers guys would be appreciated, just to add. I am a IT tech, main exposure to Windows sever 2003/2008/2012 and hyper-v so linux not my strongest point at all ...

Any pointers would be really appreciated

Kind regards

Hi dr0g0

Thanks for choose our MOIPro-AMD.

For your problem which update way you are using ? web or USB way?

And for you issue ,what about your web version show ? is it V1.0.0.2?
You can have a try manual install the driver like this :

1.wget http://www.tbsdtv.com/download/document ... 160219.zip
2.unzip tbs-linux-drivers_v160126.zip
3. tar jxvf linux-tbs-drivers.tar.bz2
4. cd linux-tbs-drivers
5. ./v4l/tbs-x86_64.sh
6. make -j4
7.make install
8.restart

It will install our latest driver for you .

Thanks

Kind Regards
