MULTIPLE 6909 Cards In 1 Server

MULTIPLE 6909 Cards In 1 Server

Postby scottyboyz » Sun Mar 12, 2017 3:35 am

Hi there,

Ive got 5 x 6909 inside one server. I have compiled the open source driver many times and the max adapters registered in my system is 8. Had a google about and it seems i need to edit a header file somewhere and change the DVB_MAX_ADAPTERS from 8 to whatever i need. Can anyone be so kind and tell me the location of this file and where it is? Im using ubuntu 14.04.5 server 64bit.

Thanks :D

strange, because default DVB_MAX_ADAPTERS = 48 in tbsdtv/media_build

I used https://github.com/ljalves/media_build as the source.

How do you install this open source driver? is it the same way except the git location is different? I dont see any instructions thats all?

Or just clone media_build and run:
./build --main-git
sudo make install

Is there any way to check in an installed Ubuntu 16.04 that value (DVB_MAX_ADAPTERS)? Any command to visualize it? So if that value is not what I want then already if what I do is rebuild the Kernel with that value. But what I want to know is if I can get that value first.

Most distributions save a copy of the current config file in /boot you can check there.
