1. TBS6981 windows driver is updated to v2.0.1.1, which support Unicable under the latest TBSViewer V20111103.
The downloaded file is still version 2.0.0.21

Noticed this as well - will the correct version be uploaded any time soon?

Cheers

No, unfortunately it's NOT the latest version. Although the file name hints to version 2.0.1.1, the zip archive still contains the old version 2.0.0.21 from August 2011. You can check this by opening the inf file of the driver (tbs6981.inf) in a text editor:
"DriverVer=08/31/2011,2.0.0.21"

Hi Steven,

thank you for your quick response. I downloaded and tested the latest driver yesterday.
I'm not using Unicable and TBSViewer, but DVBLogic TV Source and Windows Media Center on Windows 7 64bit.

The driver seems to work properly, but the time between switching a channel is far too long, in my opinion.
I noticed this lag since driver 2.0.0.19. Driver 2.0.0.20, 2.0.0.21 and the latest 2.0.1.1 were a little faster, but it still takes 8-10 seconds for switching from one HD channel to another. So, I went back to driver 2.0.0.18 which takes 4-6 seconds for channel switching with my configuration.

Best regards,
-Manuel-

Hi Manuel

Thanks for your reply.and about the time.
Let me tell you why,the new driver use more time because if some user whos singnal is not very well,it will take need more time to lock,
if the time is not longer enough, they will miss the lock,so we let it longer, this will let all people work ok.
Wish you can understand this.

Thanks
steven

I also experience similar channel change times.

This is with dvblogic, 8/10 secs. With dvbviewer, channel change times are fast-half a sec

Isignal strength is very good, 90%.
I have created another thread post FYI.
