Just got a skystar HD2 and had the same fault (code10)
running win xp service pack 3

tried diff drivers and all the same

fixed the fault by connecting the extra power supply cable to the back of the card
had'nt done it b4 as it would'nt reach, so i cut it and extended the cable

the installation instructions say that its only needed if powering a motor (which i wouldnt be doing) and it says that it would run without it - obviously not

hope this helps someone else out

i was close to sending it back tbh

very happy now

I am getting same problems using XP SP3 as mentioned above....... I have 2x Compro 350 which work perfectly, I just want DVB-S2 capability. I have downloaded latest driver 2.0.0.19 and used external power supply as mentioned in previous post.

Unless someone has any other solution product will to go back and I will look for other vendor... I just spent 5hrs going round in ever decreasing circles... this is not good.

Come on TBS

Yu're installing wrong driver, uninstall and delete information file for this wrong driver in c:\windows\inf, search the file containing the device name that is displayed in device manager and delete it,now try installing your original driver

I have just spent a wasted day today trying to work out why I got lots of hardware error messages and a completely non-functioning card. It turns out that the driver for the TBS6981 on the supplied small DVD does not work at all (on my Win 7 64 bit computer). I downloaded the latest driver from this web-site for the card and all the messages went away, the card is now working and channel searches etc. could begin. Very frustrating indeed.
