PCIe to PCI adapters - do they work ??

As all the newer tuners seem to be PCIe interface and my PVR is all PCI and I do not want to upgrade yet and throw all my old PCI cards away - does anyone know if the PCIe to PCI adapters work with these and similar tuners? If so I may well spend some money, but I don't want to contemplate paying a lot of cash for an upcoming quad dvb-t2/dvb-s2 card and find I can't use it.

We do not have used PCIe to PCI adapters to have a test,but if you can make sure the power is ok,I think it will be ok.
