Unicable-Support with Linux AND CI?

Unicable-Support with Linux AND CI?

Postby smartysmart34 » Tue May 08, 2012 4:20 pm

Hi all, I realise there is a section for the TBS6981 but unfortunately NOT for 6991?

I am looking for a dual tuner card WITH CI module. How do i get that? Is there an additional module I could attach to the 6981?

The system I plan to put the card in is a OpenSuse 11.4 with mythtv. Does the 6981 support unicable with that? Or ist there any TBS-card supporting Unicable in Linux and with mythtv? Which multituner card should I chose for Linux if I want a CI module?

Sorry for the basic question but I'm confused....

Kind regards,
Martin Soltau

Hi smartysmart34

For your first question
>Is there an additional module I could attach to the 6981?
Still do not have this module as we know. :)

Second question about the unicable
This is depend on the soft ,our driver has all the need interface to use with unicable.

Last if you want to buy a TBS6991 dual CI you can contact with sales@tbsdtv.com she will
give you the detail information.

and would you mind giving us your CAM's detail information so we can check whether your
CAM is supported .

Kind regards

Hi Steven,
Thank you for the information.
So unfortunately the Unicable support is not transparent to the application.
I do not have a CAM yet as I am beginning to sort things out. But as soon as I have one I'll send it through.
Might take a couple of weeks though ;-)

Regards,
Martin
