tbs6981 problem with skynet

tbs6981 help please

Hi All, I have been using for the last couple of years Linux Mint 10 and then 11. I have been using the tbs6981 with a program called Skynet a stream grabber. The only way I could ever get Skynet to work correctly was to do what I have listed below. Whenever I have tried to use Skynet with the latest drivers always got discontinuity errors but with the method listed below it works perfectly.

Now my problem is I want to update linux mint to 13 and I have tried I can install the lastest kernel 3 drivers from the TBS site, but I'm back to being unable to use Skynet because of some issue with drivers.

I tried to add the four files listed below in the newest version but they won't compile with kernel 3.

****************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************
This works perfectly for all kernel versions below 3

I have a copy of linux-s2api-tbs6981_v1.92.2.rar I have been extracting the files listed below from this rar and putting them into linux-tbs-drivers_110523.rar

The files are

tbs6981ctrl.o.x86
tbs6981ctrl.o.x86_64
tbs6981fe_driver.o.x86
tbs6981fe_driver.o.x86_64

Then make && make install and it works correctly.

Something changed in these 4 files after v1.92.2 that causes these discontinuity errors in Skynet.

****************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

This is how I run Skynet
1 I start Szap-S2 and have it running then I start Skynet, in Skynet's config file it directs the program to stream from below.

FE = /dev/dvb/adapter1/frontend0
DVR = /dev/dvb/adapter1/dvr0
DMX = /dev/dvb/adapter1/demux0

Thanks
Mich

I'm bumping this because it's been a few days and support has also been emailed with a link to this problem, but as yet no one has bothered to get in contact either by email or in the thread.

Mick i replied to you on your email to euro_support@tbsdtv.com. let's proceed discussing there, because it's highly unlikely to get something useful in a forum, when the problem you have is completely specific and isolated case - there are no any other users that have complained to anything even similar to your problem description.

This problem was moved over to emails directly to support. Initially it seemed they were interested in helping with the issue, but now I never get replies to my emails. "the last two emails" I'm not happy, even just a response to say we have received you emails would have be great.

Not happy ATM
