Driver causes Ubuntu 10.10 to hang at shutdown

Hi,

I am experiencing the following:

Driver version 1.24.1 compiled and installed correctly on Ubuntu 10.10 64bit
TBS 8921 operates correctly
Computer restarts correctly

On Shutdown the process hangs at "Will now halt" and computer has to be hard reset (ie. I have to hold down the power button until it shuts down). This is explicitly with the shutdown operation ("halt" from terminal). "Restart" works as expected.

I have tested this twice from a clean install and the OS shutdown only breaks after the driver has been compile and installed.

Is anybody else experiencing the same and have any help?
