Disable ir on 6984

Hi, I am on Xubuntu 15.04 with a TBS6984 and am trying to disable to ir on this card so Linux doesn't see it.
Could you give me the instructions on how to do this please?
This is the outpur of cat /proc/bus/input/devices:

I tried creating a file /etc/modprobe.d/options-dvb.conf and adding this line:

options cx23885 enable_tbs_ir=0

After a reboot, nothing changed, Linux can still see and use the ir.

Hi speedyrazor, maybe too late, but...

How did you try to use IR from your TBS6984?
In my case (From Debian 6 to Debian 8, kernel 2.6 to 3.16), IR allways worked, tested with vdr client.

This is the output of "cat /proc/bus/input/devices" , a card using same module of 6984.
