Can not scan Eutelsat 16A 12596.94 V 2848 2/3

Hi,

I am using TBS6922 with the newest 1.0.1.5 driver (with the previous driver 1.0.1.4 I had the same problem)
Dish is Triax 78cm with Moteck-1200A
Software that I have tried: DVBViewer and DVBLink TVSource

With both software I cannot scan some frequency on 16.0E satellite.

Frequency that I CAN scan:
DM Sat - 16.0E 12593 V 2500 2/3


Frequency that I CANNOT scan:
RTV Montenegro - 16.0E 12596.94 V 2848 2/3
Atlas TV (Montenegro) - 16.0E 12600.75 V 2500 1/2

I think this is strange because all above channels are on the same transponder and "DM Sat" I can scan but "RTV Montenegro" and "Atlas TV (Montenegro)" is not possible.

Is this problem of TBS 6922 or driver or something else?

Hi, at this point nothing can be said for certain what is the root cause of the problem. have you tried and confirmed you can receive those transponders with other DVB-S/S2 hardware like set-top-box? it could be there is problem with your signal and it's very weak.

Cody, sorry but don't you think it is strange to say that there could be problem with my signal when I am able to receive (16.0E 12593 V 2500 2/3) which is on the same transponder (F04) as (16.0E 12596.94 V 2848 2/3) and (16.0E 12600.75 V 2500 1/2) which I cannot receive.

But just to be sure I have used my very old receiver (from 2006) and with this very old receiver I am able to receive those channels.

I have tried TBS Blind Scan V3.0.1.1. tool to see if I can get any results.

This tool gives me those results:

After this I have changed frequency in TVSource application from 12596 to 12599 and 12600 to 12603 with those results:

What is the reason for those deviations?

i replied to you in an email, but just for completeness and to help other users to copy it here and even explain in short - the frequency offset you get is probably due to bad LNB:

Same thing is happening to me too. For low SR signals, I need to deliberately tune in 5 MHz lower or the TBS 6922 SE tuner won't get a lock and scan the channels. My previous TBS 8920 is fine as is my Technomate 5200 so I can assure you, this is not an antenna or LNB issue. There's either a hardware issue with the card or there is a driver issue that needs fixing. This occurs with whatever software I use with the card too by the way - Crazyscan or TBS Blind Scan for blind scanning, SmartDVB or TBSViewer or DVBViewer or DVB Dream for watching TV.

I have used BlindScan feature to scan whole 19.2E satellite.
You can see that 22000 sometimes become 21999 or that 10729 becomes 10730, some transponders has worse issues on other satellites (+2, +3)

I have also used two times BlindScan for 23.5E with slightly different results.
Please see that first time I had only 21 transponders and second time only 19. Kingofsat has about 40 transponders.
