TBS 5925 restarting problem

TBS 5925 restarting problem

Postby birman » Sat Feb 09, 2013 5:57 pm

Hello to all. I started use my TBS 5925 few months ago (almost every day). I used Sky Star HD2 until two months ago.

When I started use it, weren't any problems, but when I started use it almost every day, I am getting problem with my computer once or twice per week, because my computer is restarting.

I got this screen on my monitor. I made picture from my phone camera.

In my PC is installed Windows 7 Ultimate SP1. I need say that I am using SSD where is situated OS. When I used Sky Star HD2, I had the same OS and the same SSD, so I didn't get any problems. With Sky Star HD2 all things work good, but I have problems with TBS 5925.

I checked TBS 5925 driver, too. I put driver from official CD which I got in TBS 5925 package. I use USB 2.0 cable which I got in TBS 5925 package, too. I think that TBS 5925 driver is from 03/2012, but I didn't found any new driver, its the latest.

Every time I am getting the same picture when my computer wants restart. Therefore, I get this screen, then after few seconds, my computer is starting again.

Do you know what is the problem? How I can fix it? However, sometimes its big problem, because I write some things on my PC, I forgot save it, and then I have lost data.

Dumping physical memory to disk: this is countdown 0 to 100, then computer is restarting.

Will be great If we can fix this problem together.

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards!

Hi birman.
Did you test your RAM module? If not, please test if it's all ok with your ram modules. I don't know any app to do this in windows, but you can use memtest included basically in all linux live-cd/usb.

Best regards.

@SergioDanielG, I have 8GB DDR3 RAM (Kingston HyperX blu, 1333MHz) on my PC. I dont think that it is problem. I didnt have problem with any application, only with TBS 5925.

Sometimes, I checked USB 2.0 cable, and few times when I put or remove USB 2.0 cable between TBS 5925 and PC, my PC show me screen (in my first post). Maybe, it can be problem, but I use official USB 2.0 cable which I get in TBS 5925 package.

@crazysat, I dont think that I can connect USB 2.0 cable to USB 3.0 port, it wont be good.

Hi birman

Do you have safety removed TBS5925 device when you disconnect TBS5925.
And crazycat's answer is good, because some USB 3.0 is not stable.
Would you mind using USB 2.0 to have a try .

Kind Regards

Yes, but sometimes, when I check cable, put up or put out USB 2.0 cable, then I got blue screen and my PC is restarting.

I cant understand how I can put USB 2.0 cable to USB 3.0 port, it wont be ok. TBS 5925 support only USB 2.0 and has only USB 2.0 port. If it has USB 3.0 port, then I can use USB 2.0 cable and put on USB 2.0 port in my PC. But USB 2.0 cable to put on USB 3.0 port in PC, it cant. This is my suggestion.

I want add this. When I am working something, example recording something (TS file) and read news on internet, recording is stooping, and I cant click on exit and put off AltDvb. I need put off USB 2.0 cable from PC or TBS 5925, on TBS 5925 are power on both LEDs (Power --> red, Lock --> green), then my PC feel exellent, when I put on cable, my PC shows me blue screen and it is restaring.

Thanks!

Best Regards!
