How to Remote Control

Postby pdontcheff » Thu Nov 11, 2010 5:12 pm

With the new driver (linux-tbs-all_20101024) the remote works but partially, only arrows and sound buttons works. How to configure it correctly?

Thanks

Hi Guys,

I'm running Ubuntu kernel 2.6.38-10-generic and have almost got the remote configure for use with XBMC Live (actually a PVR branch but similar enough)

I've struggled a little with button mapping since I'm not sure which hardware drivers to load when configuring lirc with the command sudo dpkg-reconfigure lirc

I've set up a custom mapping and 'some' of the buttons work but if I had a cheat, that is, a configured /etc/lirc/lircd.conf file and a /etc/lirc/hardware.conf file that I could confidently use, i'd be happy.

Sorry for the rushed post, if there's any further info. needed, let me know.

Cheers,

Ceezey
