I just moved to a new apartment with a communal satellite setup. I hooked the card in the wall socket and installed the latest driver off the website under a self compiled kernel 2.6.38.2. The card is recognized and the firmware gets uploaded correctly:

Done.
I tried both the sample configuration file provided in the zip, plus a scanfile for the satellite we are probably pointed to (Astra 28.2) which was in my system at /usr/share/dvb/dvb-s/Astra-28.2. I edited this file to make it compatible to scan-s2 as specified in the readme, but the result is still a bunch of "Tuning failed".
I also tried kaffeine, but still got no luck.
Szapping also fails, both with the example file and with a line taken from the LyngSat website.

The card also gets recognized under the latest 3.0.4 kernel (without using the drivers from the website), and the result is the same.
I add that the card is brand new, just bought from Amazon.
Please help..
