Hi there,
I've recently done a bit of an upgrade of my HTPC. I've upgraded from Win8.1 to Win10, and from DVBLink v5.5.0 to v6.0.0. Strangely, at the same time one of the tuners on my TBS 6981 stopped working (finds no signal on any transponder). So I ordered a new TBS 6902. I now have 3 working tuners.
But I'm having a strange problem. Often when I start watching an HD channel (bitrate ~10Mbps), I get continuous picture breakup (every 5-20 seconds). DVBLink comes with a "diagnostic" utility, and it reports "discontinuities" (though no "errors") that correspond to the picture breakup. These are my observations:
1. I don't seem to have any problems with non-HD channels.
2. If I watch a non-HD channel for a while, it sometimes seems to settle and then there's no problems on the HD channels for the rest of the night.
3. If I force the current tuner to record a different channel and change back to the original channel with a second tuner, it's usually fine.
4. I've observed "discontinuities" and signal breakup on all 3 tuners.
3. I haven't noticed any image breakup on recordings.
So I'm not really sure where to go from here. It's not predictable, so I've found it hard to test. I suspect driver issues, but don't know how to confirm that. Can anyone help me figure out what's going on?
The system is otherwise working beautifully, and had been really solid before I upgraded. Would really like to get it all consistent again.
Thanks heaps!
