compiling driver with debian testing

Postby grigouille » Wed May 02, 2018 1:40 am

Hello,
I'm trying to compile the open source driver with debian testing
$ uname -a
Linux nas 4.15.0-3-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.15.17-1 (2018-04-19) x86_64 GNU/Linux
Unfortunately, I get this
$ make
make -C /media/partage/frederic/tbs6281se/media_build/v4l
make[1] : on entre dans le répertoire « /media/partage/frederic/tbs6281se/media_build/v4l »
Updating/Creating .config
make[2]: Entering directory '/media/partage/frederic/tbs6281se/media_build/linux'
Syncing with dir ../../media
Patches for 4.15.0-3-amd64 already applied.
make[2]: Leaving directory '/media/partage/frederic/tbs6281se/media_build/linux'
Preparing to compile for kernel version 4.15.0
File not found: /lib/modules/4.15.0-3-amd64/build/.config at ./scripts/make_kconfig.pl line 33, <IN> line 4.
make[1]: *** Aucune règle pour fabriquer la cible « .config », nécessaire pour « .myconfig ». Arrêt.
make[1] : on quitte le répertoire « /media/partage/frederic/tbs6281se/media_build/v4l »
Makefile:26 : la recette pour la cible « all » a échouée
make: *** [all] Erreur 2
What shall I do ?

I found the solution :
apt install linux-headers-$(uname -r)
Looks like that with Ubuntu, this package is already installed.
