Each card has a different hardware, even small, that distinguishes it from another, but the most important being the chip/demod.Depending on it the other components are built, with more or less identical functions and other features.
TBS chose to make series of models depending on usage and standards. For example, the 6XXX model is for TV Tuner PCIe,the 5XXX model is USB -supported,the 8XXX model is for IPTV server, etc, etc. Each model is updated according to new dvbs technologies that appear on the market, and TBS does nothing but improve each model to provide something new to those interested in new technologies of reception, capture and streaming.
For example, the 6903 -X model is equipped with the STid135 chip, compared to,say,tbs6903,which is based on the STV091X chip. The first one knows how to work with the S2X extension, while the last one does not have this possibility.
Here's briefly why TBS uses numbers and letters for its products.I hope I wasn't wrong in this brief presentation.
