Backup settings (If I need to)

Hey guys, Should be getting my MOI tomorrow, quick couple of questions about setting it up. I'm in the UK so I presume I'll be best going through this page and adding all my channels?

The demo video for the system makes it seem like you have to manually add each channel, is this true? I can't just do a "scan"?

I'm guessing a manual setup would take quite a while so I'd like to know if it's possible to backup the settings once I've set everything up, so if the worst comes to the worst and I lose the ip after changing it or I have to upgrade the software can I restore settings?
