TBS6981 Install Problems under Mandriva

Hi,

I had no problems to build and install the driver (20101024) for TBS 6981.
However after restart I get the following message:

what you get means that for some reason "cx23885.ko" that you built from driver "20101024" for TBS 6981 is not loaded in your kernel (or not installed), because "CORE cx23885[0]: subsystem: 6981:8888, board: UNKNOWN/GENERIC [card=0,autodetected]" indicates that the default "cx23885.ko" that comes with the kernel is loaded. did you update the kernel after you installed the driver, which could replace "cx23885.ko" with default one?

No, I did not update/change the kernel. However, you got me on the right track - v4l was pre-installed with all the modules gziped. Thus, even though all modules got installed, it was still loading the .gz module. After deleting all .gz and running a depmod again, the module got loaded just fine. Thanks again!
