hi, yes, it seems right, except:

[ 1356.130797] dvb-usb: TBS QBOXS2 DVBS2 USB2.0 successfully deinitialized and disconnected.

but it is also right in case you unplugged the box 1356 seconds after you boot to Linux.

Hi,
i have the same problem as linuxdog15 has, i think something is wrong with my qbox.
i have asus n50vc notebook running ubuntu 10.10 on it. i installed the driver and when i'm gonna check if it's true and using this command dmesg | grep QBOXS2
i got this result !!!

[ 264.124339] dvb-usb: found a 'TBS QBOXS2 DVBS2 USB2.0' in cold state, will try to load a firmware
[ 264.288374] dvb-usb: found a 'TBS QBOXS2 DVBS2 USB2.0' in warm state.
[ 264.288515] DVB: registering new adapter (TBS QBOXS2 DVBS2 USB2.0)
[ 264.368286] dvb-usb: no frontend was attached by 'TBS QBOXS2 DVBS2 USB2.0'
[ 264.368585] dvb-usb: TBS QBOXS2 DVBS2 USB2.0 successfully initialized and connected.
[ 264.385566] dvb-usb: TBS QBOXS2 DVBS2 USB2.0 successfully deinitialized and disconnected

hi, please, provide the output from "dmesg | grep 24116", because for some reason:

[ 264.368286] dvb-usb: no frontend was attached by 'TBS QBOXS2 DVBS2 USB2.0'

and that indicates some error.

hi again.
yeah, you're right, i got error.

[ 1820.000064] Invalid probe, probably not a CX24116 device

i heard qbox have some problems with Asus tech like motherboard and stuff and i don't know this causes the problem or not?
i was wondering if you'd mind helping me with this?

thanks.

that doesn't seem good like hardware fault in the device. please, give me the output of "lsusb" command, but i'm almost sure it's faulty box.

that's not true, there is no such thing as problems with Asus boards - in fact probably over 50% of the motherboard in our computer in TBS are Asus.
