Hi,

I tried to use the new kernel drivers with debian wheezy kernel 3.0.0 and I got following error:

[ 5.839391] videodev: disagrees about version of symbol media_entity_put
[ 5.839400] videodev: Unknown symbol media_entity_put (err -22)
[ 5.839444] videodev: disagrees about version of symbol media_device_register_entity

[ 5.839568] videodev: Unknown symbol media_device_unregister_entity (err -22)
[ 5.840830] videodev: disagrees about version of symbol media_entity_put
[ 5.840839] videodev: Unknown symbol media_entity_put (err -22)

[ 5.840887] videodev: Unknown symbol media_device_register_entity (err -22)
[ 5.840979] videodev: disagrees about version of symbol media_entity_get
[ 5.840984] videodev: Unknown symbol media_entity_get (err -22)
[ 5.840999] videodev: disagrees about version of symbol media_device_unregister_entity
[ 5.841005] videodev: Unknown symbol media_device_unregister_entity (err -22)

I followed README instruction for building the driver. The build finished with no errors. So what is wrong?

Jakub, just to give you the essential and important information for you from that topic:

1) you need to use the following driver :

http://www.filesonic.com/file/2659088721

for any 32-bit 3.x kernel until official update is done

2) "Unknown symbol" errors you're getting suggest that the drivers mixed-up - (the old ones installed in you system and the new one). so, to ensure trouble-free install of the drivers over some old drivers it's recommended to to clean all old drivers from your kernel:

# rm -rf /lib/modules/<kernel_version>/kernel/drivers/media/

for example:

# rm -rf /lib/modules/3.0.0-1/kernel/drivers/media/

and then do 'make install'
