Blue screen after resuming from standby

Blue screen after resuming from standby

Postby DjNDB » Tue Nov 29, 2011 5:30 pm

I've been using the TBS 5922 for a week now, and i've gotten 2 Blue screens since then, both after resuming from standby.
When the first one happened i was using the Driver "TBS 5922 USB DVBS/S2 BDA, 09.09.2011, 2.0.1.6"
I was looking for a solution, and hoped that the recently released Driver "TBS 5922 USB DVBS/S2 BDA, 25.11.2011, 2.0.1.9" would fix it. Today i got another blue screen running the new driver though.

Also, while rebooting directly after the blue screen the system would hang in BIOS POST, even after a cold restart, until i unplug the TBS5922 from USB. It seems like the TBS5922 switches into a state blocking the USB during the crashes. After windows reboot the TBS5922 doesn't work if i just replug USB. It is shown as unknown USB device. I have to unplug the TBS5922 power cable once to make it work again, so the hardware seems to run into a strange locked up state.

The TBS5922 is directly connected to my Mainboards IO-Panel (Model GA-MA78GM-S2H rev 1.1).

I am running Windows 7 64-Bit.

I hope my information helps in debugging the issue. I added the WinDbg output of both bluescreens below.

I had 2 more Blue screens like these today. I've just installed Driver V2.0.2.0. I'll see if that changes anything.

Any update on this issue? My TBS5922 shows up as an "unknown device" after restart and I've also had a few blue screens...

Hi Andy,
I hope they fix this soon. Have you had any luck to fix it.
In case it helps this is the procedure I have to follow to get it working again...
1) After startup when it recognises it as unknown USB device..
2) then in device manager uninstall this unknown device
3) then install the drivers (again)...
4) Then unplug POWER from sat tuner (not usb cable) and
5) when you plug back in the power it picks it up correctly....

anyone with any more permanent fixes please help us out ;-)

Anyone from TBS can you please look at this issue and update us on any help and or progress. Thx.

hi all
i had been created a topic and explaned my problem.that is more coplex than just a blue screen error
i checked all procedures. everytime a new version comes to on the site
it proves me that the problem is the software not the hardware.
..i have no any bluescreens now...or so few times!(1/1000)
but...when im running..tbs ip data...for satlite internet..or watching tvs....(almostely on tbs ip using)
my windows( 7 os) hangs up.after 2 or 5 minutes that i cant reset my notebook...and forces me to power it off by pluging off.both of the mouse and keyboard dos not work and make me to plugg of
im realy so bored abour this problem...pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees
